New additions to my family tree?

Shonda was initially connected to wrong parents who are your 6th cousins. When they were replaced the path to Shonda was lost.

John - apparently we're close enough for "family news.". I was "tree starting" from a random ancestor of mine.

First time I did this I made a brother to myself & disconnected. Got a lot of amused mail about Harry Belafonte: "something you're not telling us?"

The last laugh is that it turns out his wife is a second cousin something to my late stepfather, so it was, in fact, family news.:)

Erica: Geni still reports us as 8th cousins once removed (http://www.geni.com/path/John-Rigali+is+related+to+Erica-Howton?fro...). Don't you think that that's quite distant for being eligible for each other's "family news"?

That's what I was wondering. Not that I don't want your family news, but i haven't gotten it.
