Hi Todd, The trouble with the de COURTENAYS is that there are 2 distinct lines. You are correct for Elizabeth de COURTENAY c 1127 -1205 as the daughter of Renauld & Helvis (Elizabeth) du DONJON; but the Peter that she married was Peter I of France de COURTENAY born Sep 1126 in Reims, France 1126 and who died 10 Apr il1183 in Acre, PALESTINE. he was a son of Louis VI "The fat" King of France & Adelaide (of Savoy) MAURIENNE. Peter and Elizabeth had about 10 children and it was their son Peter II who was Emperor of Constantine and died in 1218. (I think) Have a look at Peter II on Wikepedia. I have been trying to straighten them out for years, so I don't guarantee that this is correct.
