The first is good, the second should be merged:

Gainfroi, count of Sens

Gainfroi of Austrasia Count of Sens Von Messgau

This is correct:

Hildegard

This is a duplication:

Hildegard of Vinzgouw

Another duplication comes up in a search of the same name, but there is no detail in it so I cannot access the profile posted by Patricia Anne Abbott.

In this profile of Philip II Augustus, his wife, Constance of Castile, is an empty link:

Philip II Augustus, king of France

The false link is managed by William R. I cannot access it because it is empty.

Another false link is managed by David Prins. I cannot access it because it is empty.

Another false link, Queen Constance of Castile, is managed by Robert Nicholas Ragland. I cannot access it because it is empty.

Another false link is managed by Bjorn P. Brox:

Margaret

This is the correct link for Constance of Castile:

Constance de Castille, reine consorte de France

Not to cause confusion, a later Constance of Castile comes up in the same search with multiple profiles. This is the correct profile:

Constance of Castile, Duchess consort of Lancaster

These false profiles should be disconnected:

Constance of Castile, Duchess consort of Lancaster

Constance Of Castile Duchess Consort Of - Lancaster

Another false link for Infante Constance of Castile is managed by Dawn Macfarlane-Thompson. I cannot access it because it is empty.

I believe the correct profile would be (and it certainly should be) the French one, as Constance was a "reine consorte de France".

This is the correct profile for Munderic:

https://www.geni.com/people/Mundéric-lord-of-Vitry-en-Perthois/6000...

These are duplicates and should be deleted:

Of Vitrey Munderic de Vitrey - en - Penthois

Munderic de Vitry en Perthoi

Lord of Vitry Munderic, of Vitrey - en - Penthois

This profile has a very peculiar “son of” entry:

Jean IV de Lannoy, seigneur de Maingoval

This is clearly his father:

Jean III (ou IV) dit "Franchimont" de Lannoy, chevalier, seigneur de Senzeilles, Maingoval, Rieulay, Yvoir (Iw

This is his mother, although there is no “and “ separating the names:

Catherine de Neufville

This is shown to be the mother, although it is clearly a duplicate and false profile just posted last month by Stina Saikko:

Catherine de Neufville

This is the correct profile:

Margaret II, countess of Flanders

This is a newly added useless duplicate:

Countess Margaret II of Flanders

Sorry my list of URLs was transformed by the software into simple names. I'll try again to give you the MPs without using a Word file as convenient intermediary. The following freestanding family tree is false, mostly a duplication of the true line of Capetian kings. The first name is non-existent (note the lack of vital dates): he is not the son of Philippe I, and the real Louis V was a Carolingian king before Hugues Capet. The other four are duplications of the correct Capetian profiles that follow; note the lack of the well-documented vital dates for these kings and their queens. After the four correct profiles are additional profiles that need to be disconnected.

Louis V Capet, King of France

Louis VI Capet, King of France

Phillippe II Augustus Capet, King of France

Louis VII Capet, King of france

Philippe I Capet, King of France

These are the correct profiles:

Charles of France, Count of Valois

Philip III, "the Bold" king of France

Louis IX the Saint, King of France

Louis VIII le Lion, roi de France

Philip II Augustus, king of France

Louis VII the Young, king of France

Louis VI the Fat, king of France

Philip I, king of France

These are additional duplicate profiles:

Charles, Count of Valois

Philip III of France

Luis IX de Francia

Louis IX King of France

Louis VIII, King of France

Philip II, King of France

Louis VII, King of France

Louis VI, King of the Franks

Philip I, King of the Franks

Henry I, King of the Franks

King Robert Capet, II

When all of these profiles are disconnected from any relatives, is it OK for me to delete the false profiles? You said you don't have time to do it.

This profile is correct:

Baldwin III, count of Flanders

This duplicate profile should be disconnected or merged:

King BALDWIN II OF JERUSALEM

I noticed the discussion about medivial profiles and I had a very short look at the message of Jerome F.W. about dubious profiles and I found out that a Michael Aaron Sprenger was involved in another American Fantasy Tree (also called aAFT).
M S

https://www.geni.com/family-tree/index/6000000037317656961#60000000...

Baldwin I Latin Emperor

Baldwin is supposed to be Sprenger's whatsoever grandfather. A very simple check in history books or in wikipedia explains the story about Sprenger's grandfathers:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fran%C3%A7ois_Louis,_Prince_of_Conti

Michael's tree is not even fiction – it is sad and not funny at all. The „Devane“- family stems from Europe but not from emperors, kings and queens. Please show some proof – Trump??
https://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=84245966

I understand that MH wants to bait new users who do not understand the basic idea of „geni“ of working together on one tree. Where not evereybody can create an Egygpian tree with Cleopatra as his/her/her/trans mother.
Simply remind the profile Sprenger that he/she/trans should stop their Conti-game because it is like a virus spreading in the net without any proof like your Trump Fake News ( also called TFN). Geni starts to get out of control.

Contis are the grand--parents of Americans? Show me your papers of the Devane family and the nobile families in France. Please.

This is the profile of Heribert II of Vermandois, assigning him two wives:

https://www.geni.com/people/Héribert-II-count-of-Vermandois/6000000...

This is the profile of his fictitious wife and supposed mother of his son Robert:

Adele de Vermandois

This is the profile of his wife Adele (who was also his niece, the daughter of his sister and king Robert I):

https://www.geni.com/people/Adèle-de-France/6000000003494707647?thr...

It will be necessary to give Robert his true parentage (Heribert II and Adele) before removing the fictitious profile of his supposed mother. Notice that in the "about" section Ben Angel identifies Robert's true mother as Adele.

Robert de Vermandois, comte de Meaux et de Troyes

We're not done with Yaroslav I yet.First off, now that Geni HAS the capacity to display profiles in multiple languages, can we PLEASE have an English-language display name for those of us who make very heavy going of Cyrillics (if we can read them at all)?

Secondly, there are still duplications among his children:

Anna of Kiev, Queen Consort of the Franks
Agatha (suggestion: rename this one "Daughter #4, possibly Agatha")

Elisabeth Ellisif Yaroslavna Rurikid, of Kyiv
Elisabeth Ellisif Yaroslavna Rurikid, of Kyiv
(note: husband Harald "Hardrada" is duplicated also)

Vsevolod Yaroslavich, Grand Prince of Kiev
Vsevolod Yaroslavich, Grand Prince of Kiev (blasted Cyrillics may mess up the link)

We know *darn well* he had four daughters, because of a mural in St Sophia, Kiev: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yaroslav_the_Wise#/media/File:Daughte...

We know who three of them were, and who they married.

The identity of Agatha, wife of Edward the Exile, has been debated for a thousand years and will probably be debated for a thousand more. But of all the possible candidates for fathers for her (and they are numerous), *only* Yaroslav the Wise is *known* to have had a daughter who is otherwise unaccounted-for. And he *did* gamble with the future happiness of his daughters Anastasia (married to Andew of Hungary, who was then a mere rival claimant to the throne) and Elisaveta (married to Harald Sigurdsson, an ambitious Varangian warlord with a claim on the throne of Norway - which he later made good, acquiring the nickname "Hardrada" (hard ruler) in the process). (Yaroslav took no risks with Anna, his youngest and favorite daughter, sending her with great care to France to become the second wife of Henri I Capet.)

Not proof, of course, but significant circumstantial evidence.

Someone has deleted the English name fields of https://www.geni.com/people/Великий-Князь-Киевский-Ярослав/4573114

This in itself shows that the profile is not locked, any user with an interest in the profile can correct the name fields, once corrected it might be a good idea to ask for them to be locked.

I haven't checked if there is any locking in place which might stop the children from being merged, if there is let me know and we can unlock it temporarily.

There's a problem with Vsevolod, but I don't know what it is. It isn't a double-master, may be a relationship lock.

Re-entered the English for Yaroslav, merged the two Elisavetas, and renamed the second "Anna" to "Daughter #4, possibly Agatha" with explanatory note in the "About".

Vsevolod is a Locked profile, i approved your merge request and did a quick tidy up of his name fields. My Russian is purely Google Translate so hopefully i didn't make things worse :)

We've got troupble with this one: Vladimir II Monomakh

He has seven wives, and (at least) four of them are Gytha of Wessex.

Arnulf II the Young, son of Baldwin III and Matilda of Saxony, is my 31st ggf:

Arnulf II the Young, count of Flanders

But Baldwin III, father of Arnulf II the Young, shows up only as the husband of Matilda of Saxony, my 29th ggm in another line:

Baldwin III, count of Flanders

There is something wrong with the algorithm.

Jerome: probably because there are six of him that need to be merged/corrected/whatever.

Baldwin III, count of Flanders (master profile)
King Baldwin III of Jerusalem (probably misnamed/misnumbered, he's way out of line)
Baldwin III of Flanders (possibly another misidentification)
Baldwin III, of Flanders (matches Master Profile)
Baldwin III count of Flanders (matches Master Profile)
Baldwin/Baudouin III count of Flanders (isolated, reasons unknown)

#2 is actually Baldwin III of Jerusalem and should be so labeled.

OK, #2 is now properly identified. Wonder how many of *him* there are?

Maven, we also have Alec Baldwin
William "Billy" Baldwin
Daniel Leroy Baldwin
and Stephen Baldwin

There's Baldwins everywhere!! :)

The following master profile is correct:

Baldwin III, count of Flanders

The following profiles are dupllicates and should be disconnected and merged:

Baldwin III count of Flanders

Baldwin/Baudouin III count of Flanders

Baldwin III of Flanders

Baldwin III count of Flanders

The followng master profile is correct:

Matilda of Saxony, countess of Flanders

The following profiles are duplicates and should be disconnected and merged:

Matilda of Saxony

The following is the correct profile:

Edward I "Longshanks", King of England

The following are duplicates:

Edward I "Longshanks", King of England

The following false profile has been deleted since January but still shows up in a search:

Edward I "Longshanks", King of England

The following is a duplicate profile:

Edward I "Longshanks", King of England

The following is a duplicate profile:

Edward I "Longshanks", King of England
