Emily Kent Marget I agree.

I don't make changes in this area either - its not my speciality. We have amazing curators knowledgeable in these areas, and I too would prefer to just let them know of any issues I stumble across. Its never as simple as just a cut or a small edit and often those curators can tell at a glance that there are other errors that need addressing.

Private User I think your comments were completely inappropriate.

Curators are volunteers. Like all users on Geni we each have very different skillsets and knowledge.

Private User if you have a complaint to make against anyone please contact geni at misconduct@geni.com

Please stop with the derogatory comments and attacks on curators

Finally. some actually did cut off that wrongly set up mother, all is GOOD!

Private User the cut was done 30 minutes before you decided to abuse curators.

Another post from "ATTENTION..." that belongs to the curators for here: Karrie Amelia Anderson Welborn, LK138808C1 posted "Hello! This profile for Cecilia de Gay mentions in the bio she is not listed as a daughter of Sir Roger de Berkeley, and also notes he would have been 11 years-old when she was born.

I have not found any sources which confirm a relationship. Can we disconnect? Thank you!"

Cecilia de Gay

Roger de Berkeley, III

Thank you Emily!

Emily, post to the profiles themselves.

Sorry, I will move it Sharon

I'll go and look there at the profiles.

It looks like someone was having a sour-grape day!!! You Curators are awesome and greatly appreciated for the time and knowledge you use in helping us Geni members. Just wanted to let you all know that not everyone feels so negatively!!! I hope you all have a great day and Angels be with you and bless you for your willingness to volunteer your time & knowledge to help us!!! ❤️❤️😇🌹

Patricia Ann Scoggin -- thank you on behalf of all of us, medievalists or no.

Thank you, Patricia. Much appreciated.

Hi, I made some errors and this was pointed out by a curator and I was nothing but grateful. As someone who is always learning I am always grateful for the support of those further down the road than me.

Thanks everyone

Duplicate profile, but with incorrect connected wife.
Stephen le Scrope, 2nd Baron Scrope of Masham

MOREOVER, the connected parentage differs between the profiles, which Douglas Richardson does not agree with connected parents for Stephen le Scrope, 2nd Baron Scrope of Masham .

I don't see a duplicate or disputed parents for Stephen le Scrope, 2nd Baron Scrope of Masham

https://www.geni.com/documents/view?doc_id=6000000209719508822 page 8 lists Stephen le Scrope, 2nd Lord Scrope of Masham as 2nd child of Henry le Scrope, Knt., by Joan _:

Erica Howton . I goofed with the links. The here's the one I meant to shine a light on: Sir Stephen Scrope .

Wrong bio & title for the dup. I’ll see who he was meant to be.

From https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geoffrey_le_Scrope citing DNB:

Geoffrey and his wife, Ivette (de Ros) -- in all probability daughter of Sir William de Ros of Ingmanthorpe, near Wetherby -- had five sons. Their eldest son, Henry (whose daughter Joan married Henry Fitzhugh), became the first Baron Scrope of Masham.[1]

By this marriage, he had five sons and three daughters:[1]

  • Stephen, who was at the Battle of Crécy and the siege of Berwick (1356);

This looks like a duplicate tree from Alexander Naumov

Duke Svyatopolkich Mikhail Kiev II Рюрикович

Private User - can you help isolate and advise the manager that we already have the tree?

Erica Howton, I've cut down to Duke of Bohemia Sobeslav Duke of Bohemia that appears to be a duplicate of Soběslav I, duke of Bohemia and isolated that upper part. He had a daughter Maria von Baden who doesn't seem to be the same as princess Maria of Bohemia I'm not sure what to do with her further down. Wrote a message to Alexander asking him to avoid duplicating.

Private User - thank you very much for your prompt assistance.

hi PRO Private User
This is the forum where to report MEDIEVAL DUPLICATES for deletion.

Also, for the above Sir Philip Musgrave, 2nd Baronet Musgrave of Eden Hall birth and death details are missing from the profile.

These are present on many matching trees as:

Birth: May 21 1607 - Hartley Castle, Kirkby Stephen, Appleby, Westmoreland, England
Death: Feb 7 1678 - Edenhall, Cumberland, England (buried St. Cuthbert's, Carlisle)

However the overview contains the text:

Philip Musgrave was born May 21, 1607 at Edenhall, Cumberland County, England

Should the profile birth and death also be updated accordingly (profile was last updated in 2016)?

Also grandson to the above Philip Musgrave Sir Philip Musgrave, MP

has match https://www.geni.com/merge/compare/6000000018232877323?return=match...

and absent details

Birth: Mar 21 1661 - Edenhall, Cumberland, England
Death: July 2 1689 - Hartley Castle, Kirby Stephen, Westmoreland

In the same family line:

Sir Christopher Musgrave, MP, 5th Baronet of Eden Hall has duplicate parents that would be resolved by the merge of his parents above (or otherwise)

Craig Andrew Miles

Musgraves are updated.

Hello,

Please can one of our EXPERTS look into this?
https://www.geni.com/family-tree/index/6000000001435372934
It appears Philippote de Fayel, Dame de Troyes (1370-1443) had a grand daughter (Ines Margarita Bethencourt 1410-1480) who married her Son Jean d'Arriete Prudhomme..
In summary Philippotes's Son Jean married Philippotes grand daughter Ines, daughter of Maciot de Btehencourt II.

Thank you
