You are absolutely right that merging medieval profiles causes a lot of work for you and others causing frustration and I am sorry for causing this. I think Geni should set up some form of screen and not send merger request for medical profiles but guess that is not possible as this is now run by an ai function.
I will not merge any future profiles without making sure I have the history to back it up

one of the most common simple conflicts is when you merge a new single line,
on a well-developed tree (and therefore with a wife.. problems start with multiple wives;)

the system gives conflict to the child as a child of a couple and child of "father+unknown"

at that point especially if there are blocks around that do not allow you to merge unknwon on mother, just go to the child's relationships with conflict and maybe you see a lock on the father and mother, but no lock on "father+unknwon" remove this, confirm, save, solved :D

I just found a conflict of this kind abandoned who knows since when on 800 year old Poland-Germany, and believe me I do not speak neither German nor Polish >.<

what a mess of random dates,
in general when I see the birth date known in the early Middle Ages of someone who is not at least an emperor, I start to smell something.
Then when there is the birth date in single file and not the death date, the smell becomes more acrid..
When the female has it well the smell becomes very clear.. Here it is also NN well.. :D
I'll just tell you that here mother and son have the same birth date.. you tell me what the smell smells like >.<

but do you see the irony in knowing the birth date of a female from 900 years ago..
(exactly 1120, not even about:)

but a "family search" record has just entered early medieval Milan that brings the Duchess progenitor of some noble South American
PLZ CUT parents of Catarina Visconti (1365-1415)

the info about contained in the husband's profile calls her: " Catarina de Mello. "

but since it is a "familysearch" record, it won't be the last time that South Americans will swoop down on medieval Milan with DUP and merge..
..we have to invent something T.T

They don't care, they remove the JPG warning and replace it with a pretty colored COA everywhere, and then they reinsert it and resurface a few hours later as if nothing had happened

& I don't know, someone just tagged a 1250 proifile with a JPG screen of a PDF that I know well (the shareable link is available) but he takes the screen and attaches it as an image document, so that the text is not selectable or translatable..
and he attaches it as a document on a profile (...-1280) when even someone who can't read and write can see numbers from 1400 on the text..
