no, "obviously " I don't, sorry Private User if I don't grant you the gift of omniscience:
it's better that you never see the kilometer-long list of my FIXES in a private direct message :D

I use discussions precisely when it has already proven useless to talk to someone directly,
so this leads to notifications that sometimes wake someone up :)

Just think that in order to remember who it's not worth talking to because it has repeatedly proven not to understand, or worse misunderstands, or even worse considers everything continuously a personal attack, or lack of the divine noble respect that is due to them..

..well I had to figure out how to put them on a block list, and the default system prevents me from writing directly to them automatically <3
(for important things there are notifications of public discussions;)

Generally, I prefer to use "Discussion", but then I will also send a message to the managers advising them of the discussion link.

just removed.. warning signals/!\, warnmng JPG, warning TEXT TAGs, unsorced & warnig source-info request out & inside info about:

* Girolama Sciarra
** Giacomo Sciarra Della Colonna

and re-positioned pretty colored COAs :)

knot already cut by Erica Howton 2 weeks ago Erica Howton with request for info sources (deleted:)
and just reported a couple of reports ago last night, already ended up on the previous page.

could it be vandalism?
the same ADMN who also just tried to fix the MP time travelers on the tree of Sancha Mendes de Briteiros
report here in the last page.. and worked by no one (who could without sources cited somewhere!?) [well he tried, now it's all nice and merged, and nice and colored with cute COAs]
travel through time.. what do you want it to be? as long as it's cute!

(I can't quote him directly because it might offend his sensibilities and this goes against the standards of the Geni community:)

Re: Generally, I prefer to use "Discussion", but then I will also send a message to the managers advising them of the discussion link.

That is my preferred technique also (using profile contact manager). It won’t work If managers block each other.

I create separate discussions, so this “Medieval dups” discussion can stay focused. Hard to know when it’s needed, though.

everyone makes do as they can,
with what they have.
(especially from a position of numerical inferiority and "firepower":)

another very long duplication of the ancient tree "Colonna"..
this is a German ascent that suddenly changes surname under the unsourced:
-CUT parents of Marcilius Colonna

then CUT DUP husband of Francesca Colonna

don't forget to mark for deletion, a random one that goes up duplicated until to 1078^^'

-------------
the Portuguese re-merge that we have been talking about here for 2 pages is resolved if:
CUT wife of Antonio Colonna Romano
("take your child with you":)

Son ofFather Gibbs and Agnes Gibbs (Miles)
Husband ofAlice Gibbs (Elmye) and Frances Gibbs (Robertson)
Father of Meribah Folger (Gibbs) and William Gibbs

Also by this view https://www.geni.com/family-tree/index/6000000029115437904

@Alice Gibbs
Alice Gibbs (Elmye)
Gender: Female
Birth: circa 1574 England
Death: 1658 (78-88) England
Immediate Family:
Daughter of Richard Elmy (Elmye) and Margaret Elmy (Lawrence)
Wife of John Gibbs
Sister of Alice Elmy

Judith "Judi" Elaine (McKee) Burns

Resolved. “Elisabeth (unknown) Folger’s” name had to been overwritten as “Alice (Elmer) Gibbs.”

I realize this is the incorrect forum for fixing errors in the Medieval tree. However, in tracing a pile of new profiles in the Medieval tree, I came across William Tyrwhitt, of Twigsmoor and Kettleby, MP son of Sir Robert Tyrwhitt, of Kettleby Robert's birth year is 1526; William's is "before 1531."

Something looks very off here.

Emily Kent Marget

I don't have an instant answer for William Tyrwhitt d. 1591. Spin off discussion: https://www.geni.com/discussions/285705?msg=1732188

Thoughts are welcome there.

Thank You @Erica Howton great work much appreciated

Erica Howton the merge you did today on William Tyrwhitt, of Twigsmoor and Kettleby, MP has left him with duplicate wives (different dates) and children.

The daughter Margaret appear to have different husbands

Top of the duplicate trees are
1515
Sir Gervase 'the Gentle' Clifton, Knight, MP
Sir Gervase 'the Gentle' Clifton, Knight, MP

1498/1514
Elizabeth Frescheville
Elizabeth Frescheville

Duplicates appear to be added manually rather than gedcom by Susan Monk

No sources being added.

Private User - thanks. I wanted the merges to go through, as there are Tyrwhit corrections needed. See the discussion mentioned.

we have a problem..
I followed the DUP of the admn definitely new, reported above by @Isabella

and I found this merge initialization on UNDER 1000
-https://www.geni.com/merge/view?revision_id=85588446740
by (C) Lori Lynn Wilke
in April 2024

the fields blocked by Erica must have broken the tree automatically,
but about ten profiles are still up there wandering DUP..
-García I (10? mark it DUP plz)

Are all (C)s aware of ..do NOT merge unsourced duplicates into the MEDIEVAL tree" ..at risk of nervous breakdown? 0.o

the CUT point for @isabella is:
CUT DUP parents of Ordoño, conde de Gaviria
(unsourced & parent less since 2010, but I just found a web tablet online to justify at least highlighting the COA:)

Afonso Betote, conde de Tuy y de Deza MP
Afonso Betote, conde de Tuy y de Deza 2024 dup

Duplicate isolated.

Today's tree match - https://www.geni.com/search/matches?id=6000000004032746971&src=profile&cmp=btn (Thomas Howard, 2nd Duke of Norfolk)
The manually added stick tree continues to Sir Henry Frederick Howard, 22nd Earl of Arundel vs Sir Henry Frederick Howard, 22nd Earl of Arundel
The next tree match is in the Colonial American era - https://www.geni.com/merge/compare/6000000210600981825?return=match%3B&to=6000000000200291683. And continues to Henry Howard (old) vs Henry Howard (new). The new profile has the wife and one child discussed in the overview of the old. The new tree reaches the user.

Another tree match - https://www.geni.com/search/matches?id=6000000003506270288&src=profile&cmp=btn (Henry Stoughton)
This has been around since 2013 or so. The newer profile has no wife nor children but the mother is different.

Thomas Wheeler has a sibling with the same first name. I think the last one is possibly his father???

The whole Hurst tree seems to be duplicated. For example:

https://www.geni.com/merge/compare/6000000008270639240?return=match...

Here is a merge request that popped up in my merge center:
https://www.geni.com/merge/compare/6000000004929517001?to=600000017...
Please look at them & decide if merging is appropriate or not. Thank you in advance.

Happy Holidays,
Pat
