I appreciate this and have been working a lot with older ancestors which is a bit frustrating and exciting. I have had some specific problems I am trying to resolve and will tell you. I am looking mostly at the Grahams family trree especially nobles. They have descended from people who ended up in Manchester for about 5 generations and prior to that they have relatives who lived at North Esk at Cote farm. Some information I have is family knowledge and so I feel informed by the family who know somethings are true. Elixabeth Graham was my Granny and she was a genealogist in Manchester. Her husband was Frank Graham. David Graham is his 5th (or so) grand father and was at Cote. There are written stories about them. The line from Manchester to Cote is clear from Census, Births, Baptismes, Marriages and Deaths. They were Anglican a lot so Christenings. I am interested in David Graham born 1675 married to Helen Beatty. His father looks to be Jon Graham (Gram) married to Elspeth Watson but others insist on Walter Graham of Gartur married to Marion Graham of Airth (too young) but Jon is in a baptisme record naming David Graham and also Claverhouse is readable. The baby is threatend I believe by the Duchray perhaps who I find now were also Grahams I am sorry for the issue I may have caused but refer to my Dads statements too. I am still seeking answers.
