p.s. another benefit of Following the profiles you are working on is that you can then more easily "find" them again by typing the name(s) into the search box. Recently viewed and Followed profiles are very easily found again using this method.

Hi Benjamin, a good idea except that sometimes a merge will lead to 40+ profiles that I really don't want to follow everything that happens on them as I have no extra information to add to them. I already manage 13000+ profiles which I am trying to keep on top of when others merge into them.

I will wait till GENI implements a report.

Oh Geni...why do I even bother...

Leanne, there of course is no need to follow every single profile that is effected by a merge...by simply following the initial merge you can easily see the others in the tree once you find your way back to where you started using the simple and effective method I described....

I guess I should have learned by now to not try to help others here on Geni, and now once again I'm sorry that I did.
So disappointing and frustrating to give someone exactly the help they need, only to be rewarded with anything and everything but thankfulness...

So you want to see in the dark...so I offer you my flashlight...but just like so many others here you don't like the color of the flashlight, or the placement of the switch, and instead of saying thank you and completing your task you discard the flashlight I gave you and walk around in the dark complaining that you cannot see.

Fine. Have it your way. Have a nice day. Goodnight and Goodbye.

I will try to remember that no good deed goes unpunished and keep to myself.

Benjamin, my apologies if you took my response in a bad way, I did not mean to offend you. Your suggestion is a good one - I just feel that it won't work for me. That doesn't mean that it won't be what someone else needs.

Thank You Leanne...your kind apology and explanation enables me to apologize in return...please forgive my being upset with you. Those who know what I have been through here (who have been through it with me) will understand my frustrations...but you do not deserve to be "punished for the sins of others", and I am very sorry to have been impatient and unkind. I see how busy you are here, and was only trying to make it easier for you. Thank You for all your hard work.

Really not just another COG (cranky old guy), Ben. ; )
