Is this an error having a Hull child among all the Hills?

I believe it's a typo in the display name

The profile notes show the relationships seem correct:

Sir Robert Hill, of Shilstone

Father Sir John Hill
Sir Robert Hill, Justice of the Common Pleas was born at of Shilston, Devon, England. He married Isabella Wadham, daughter of John Wadham and Joan Wrothesley.

I'll update from Hull to Hill.

However we have a parent issue nonetheless. From the notes in the profile for Isabella Hill

"'Robert Hylle, of Spaxton, has hitherto been confounded with Sir Robert Hull, one of the Justices of the Common Pleas (9 Henry IV. — 3 Henry VI). Mr. Greenfield now shows they were not identical. This is proved by their Arms and Marriages. The Judge bore — Argent, on a chevron between three water-bougets Sable a mullet Or; whilst Robert Hylle. of Spaxton, had — Gules, a saltire vair between four mullets Or. Sir Robert did not marry Isabel Fitchett, neither did Robert Hylle, of Spaxton, marry Joan, daughter and heir of Sir Otho Bodrugan.'

Added to this is the fact that, of the children of Robert Hill and Isabel Wadham listed in the Visitation, none of them save Elizabeth are mentioned in the 1423 will of Robert Hill, even though son Robert (said to have been born in 1392) was living at this time and died in 1444. John, Robert's son and heir, and Elizabeth, were the only known children of Robert Hill and Isabel Fichet. It is reasonable to assume, therefore, that (a) the husband of Isabel Fichet was not a JCP and (b) Robert Hill who died in 1423 did not marry Isabel Wadham."

I think the two Roberts were both judges, but different people.

Can you tell which belongs with which wife and children?

Robert Hill, of Spaxton is showing as married to Isabella (Wadham) Hill; Isabel (Fichet) Hill and Agnes Hylle

According to the HOP bio for Robert Hill, of Spaxton he had one wife Isabel (Fichet) Hill. This is confirmed by his IPM, a primary source that I have added to his profile. Can also confirm one son "John Hill of Spaxton was son and heir of Robert Hill and Isabel his wife".

I going to be busy for the next few hours so won't be able to look into it any further until later today.

I have undone some merges, please do not merge any of the Hill profiles until I have had a chance to get it sorted.

Robert Hill, MP, of Spaxton and Sir Robert Hull, one of the Justices of the Common Pleas often get confused. They are two different men both with a wife named Isabel. This confusion seem to have started with Vivian's Visitations of Cornwall where he confuses the two men.

Thank you Jamie Dinsmore for updating the about section of Robert Hill, MP, of Spaxton which highlights this confusion.

I have also located the will for Robert Hill, MP, of Spaxton

In his will he mentions:

"Isabelle my wife" she predeceased her husband
"my son John"
"Elizabeth my daughter"
"Lady Haryngton, my sister"
"Lady Joan Malett, my sister"
" Lady Alianore Hull"
"John, my brother"
"Ralph, my brother"

Thank you, Charlene. I had tried to keep them disambiguated some time ago but it's much better to have sources attached.

The Hill/Hull families have now been sorted. Some of the about sections still need a tidy up as they link to some out dated and unreliable web trees.

Was Sir John Hill, Lord of Spaxton, Judge of the King's Bench the son of Sir Richard Hill of Wales and his wife, Lady Joan Hill, I, of Drayton as geni is currently showing?

The pedigree https://archive.org/details/antiquary32slsniala/page/223/mode/1up?v... gives no origins for Judge John.
