Emily Kent Marget I worked on the Abigail Winchell line - she was one of the big confusions so I added notes & made MP. There's more genealogy work needed of course but it's better.
Angus Wood-Salomon had done quite a lot of cleanup work on it also.
I'll look at Elizabeth Griswold now.
Emily Kent Marget the Loomer / Loomis mixup is sorted. I see no reference to either of them as wife of Francis Griswold so have disconnected. But genealogy issues are best discussed from profile.
Erica -
Elizabeth Loomer was Francis Griswold's first wife. (Source: https://books.google.com/books?id=VLhYAAAAMAAJ&pg=PA669&lpg... and http://www.angelfire.com/ky3/caroln242/famnames/FG01202.html)
My Heritage verifies the date of her marriage to Francis Griswold in 1714 and that she died in 1718. It does not discuss any children.
Thanks for helping with the Abigail (Phelps) Marshall and Stephen Winchell messes.
Emily Kent Marget Fixed. Get those good sources into profiles as you can. The Waterman book looks particularly good.
I would normally ask this request of Hatte Blejer, except that she is somewhere between Israel & Italy.
Looking through the daily additions to Smart Matches, Deacon Thomas Judd popped up today.
Deacon Thomas Judd (Deacon Thomas Judd) has more wives than I can verify through on-line sources. He has 10 children on Geni but only 9 in the source below.
Judd Genealogy (https://mlproudfoot.smugmug.com/Genealogy/Judd-Genealogy-Beginning-...) agrees that he married Elizabeth _____ circa 1630 in England. It also agrees that he married the widow, Clemence Mason (Clemence Judd) after he moved to Northhampton, Mass. following the death of Elizabeth in 1678.
Children per Judd Genealogy:
William (1633 - 1690) Geni agrees with this.
Elizabeth (1635 - 1716) Geni has death in 1696.
Thomas, Jr. (1638 - ?) Geni agrees with birth.
John (1640 - ?) Geni has birth in 1639.
Benjamin (1651 - 1721) Geni has 1642 to 1698
Mary (1644 - ?) Geni agrees with birth.
Ruth (1647 - 1689) Geni has c. 1646 and death in 1689.
Philip (1649 - 1687) Geni agrees with the dates.
Samuel (1651 - 1721) Geni agrees with the dates.
There are more issues in the Judd family likely caused by mergers in error.
Thanks for the help in fixing this mess.
Good day
Please help me!
1) My grandfather was Francois Gerhardus Lubbe born 15 April 1979 in Beaufort West.
2) His father was David Petrus Johannes Lubbe, born 12 March 1847 in Beaufort West South Africa ( it took a very long time to find this info, but I managed to trace the family Bible kept by my branch of Lubbes) .
2)His father was Johannes Willem Jacobus Lubbe born 5 November 1819, in Malmesbury.
3) I have not managed to get any information about his ancestors.
BUT my frustration is that my ancestors as mentioned above kept being linked to the profile of Barend Frederick Lubbe b12......,born 1713, died 1785......HE COULD NOT HAVE BEEN the father
Please help me to remove the yellow icon I keep getting on David Petrus Lubbe's profile.
Much appreciated

This might keep occurring because there is a smart match showing those different parents I will lock it until you are ready to work on it again.
Curators please assist. The following link is to an ancestor of mine whom I added in February and now someone has assumed manager status and I am no longer related to him!!!!!
Edward Westhead
I am a Basic user who needs help editing a relationship for a profile I manage. The record is at Freda Leah Gordon. I want to remove any parental relationship for this person. Her parentage is unknown and is probably unconnected to the Spektor family.

Edward Westhead is Janice Ann Forrester nee Ryan nee Rose's 10th great uncle!

Could someone please complete this merge? It's a Master Profile for a Mayflower passenger and the relationships are locked. It says if I complete the merge it will disconnect the other immediate family members.

I think there is a tech problem... I just did a copy/paste to create a project. When I checked it, just about every place that I had a " or ' it was replaced with: â and an Spanish e with the ` (see: Eulalia Pérez de Guillén Mariné ) above it was also replaced. I deleted & change many until I got down to the "Notables" & Reference sections & some I was unsure how to fix. I hope this can be fixed soon!!!

Private User - anytime someone Deletes one of the Profiles you added and were manager of, Geni sends you a message about that - along with a link to use to undelete. I never remember what that link is, but it is a generic one that works for each person to get to his own deleted profiles, and resurrect any he wishes to resurrect.
Better to resurrect a deleted Profile than to create another new one - and you should definitely feel free to do so if anyone deletes a Profile of yours again.
(realize - it may have been in error, or the person may not have realized deleting it from her tree deletes it from yours, etc - so also feel free to send a message, but try not to hate them right away)
Would a curator please complete the merge?

Thanks in advance
Thankyou Lois Lubin. I did not receive any message this time from Geni about the change and deletion of two of my ancestors. The problem is how can someone just willy nilly delete an 11th great grandmother of mine. I won't hate on anyone but how do I resurrect a deleted Profile in case this happens again?
In working to clear some tree conflicts, I just found an incorrect merger from 2013! Sarah Kellogg (Sarah Pitts, of Westfield) was born in Westfield, Mass and died in Cambridge, NY. She had a cousin of the same name born in West Hartford, CT.
User Carlos Pitts (Carlos Pitts) merged the two cousins into each other.
Thanks for the help in correcting this problem.

Janice you refer to 'the problem is how can someone just willy nilly delete.." The likelihood isn't 'willy nilly' but rather a consequence of resolving parental conflicts and/or pending merges. As these are corrected, the effect will shuttle up and down trees with the inevitable consequence that some ancestral matches will change.
Your Ancestral Record - see https://www.geni.com/list/ancestors/6000000010198371545#20 is well populated but that 'tree' could well contain conflicts that will only show up if you examine your tree with History Link https://www.geni.com/projects/HistoryLink/14021. History Link highlights any conflicts so that they can be resolved and I recommend that anyone interested in improving the integrity of their ancestral tree uses this powerful tool on a regular basis.

Emily Kent Marget We cannot undo merges before August 2014.
The solution is to recreate the profile under correct parents. When that is done, post back with the new profile link and ask the two profiles be merged together. Be sure and link the correct parents in the note so we know which to disconnect.
Private User Your merge request of https://www.geni.com/discussions/178003?msg=1206595 was done.
To explain a little more on relationship locked profiles. Go ahead and complete the merge if you can. What happens is the other tree “breaks off” from the Master Profile tree, and the profiles re match for another merge; or you can do them from a different window; or retrieve from the revisions tab.
I’ve merged Stephen Hopkins of the Mayflower at least 100 times. No one will “lose their tree” because it’s been in Geni since 2007.
