ATTENTION Curators, please assist

Will Chapman I think Lois Lubin correctly addressed my problem. The only question I need to know now is how do I resurrect a deleted ancestor which Lois mentioned is preferable to re-creating the profile. Are you able to answer that question or else refer this to Lois Lubin.

This is Carlos Pitts. I am indeed responsible for the referenced merger of the two Sarah Kelloggs, who were both married to the cousins Peter Pitts of Hampden County. MA and later, Washington County, N.Y. I had contacted the profile manager (Eddy Jones) in the past to clarify the differences, to no response -- the referenced merger was my attempt to seperate "the two Sarahs" and "the two Peters". The Sarah of West Hartford was married briefly to (cousin) Peter Pitts (son of Gideon Pitts, Sr. of Hampden County), with whom she had son Walter Pitts. She married secondly Nathaniel Seymour, with the offspring of said marriage well documented. Nathaniel Seymour and the majority of the offspring are buried in the same cemetery in West Hartford. For some reason, Sarah (Kellogg) Seymour's interment is not documented.......In general, I always try to "say something about" any profile I add (census data, interment data, etc.) to distinguish the often redundant names so common in colonial genealogy. I can cite numerous instances in which redundant names are assigned to the wrong spouse, but it is beyond the scope of the immediate question at hand. Any assistance in finally seperating "the two Sarahs" is greatly appreciated.

Hi Erica -- Which Sarah Kellogg would I set up as a new profile and how would I go about setting up a new profile. I seem to remember developing some extensive notes on Sarah (Kellogg) Seymour a number of years back but am unable to access them.

Sarah Kellogg of Hartford, CT is missing right now as are the Seymour children. The profile for Nathaniel Seymour that is attached to Sarah Kellogg is a 'shell' profile - no parents, only a 'circa' birthdate, no kids.

Now, Sarah (of Hartford) is missing her first husband, Peter Pitts (son of Gideon of Hampden County) and their son, Walter. See the long entry from Carlos earlier today.

Since the Sarahs have been locked, I don't know what I can do to correct this omission.

They're not locked. See the discussion I tagged you in. Just need a verification that we've identified the correct Sarah & Peter, and i can take care of Geni marrying.

I assumed they had been locked to prevent more bad merges happening to these profiles. (I know I made an idiot of myself.)

This is the Peter who was married to Sarah (Kellogg) Seymour of Hartford - Peter Pitts. He is properly connected to Sarah and Walter.

The two profiles for Sarah Kellogg and the two profiles for Peter Pitts are currently attached to their proper spouses.
