Please make this profile a MP and specify that her birth surname is Caswell. There's an explanation in her about-me, in order to clarify the confusion. Thank you.

I did do a "cut/paste" to the Discussion on her profile Private User for Isabel...I will try to teach myself the option Erica Howton mentioned... thank you, again, everyone! This makes me happy...one profile at a time...sincerely, truly.

Yes, I meant to mention the “copy / paste to discussion” option. It may be an easier technique, and other profiles relevant to the citations can be tagged to that discussion also. Essentially it’s a new record. Another advantage I can think of is notifications to profile managers and followers.

Erica Howton Dan Cornett please master to prevent further confusion? This is part of a gedcom upload...this line is finally finished uploading and I have merged and cleaned up all of the Huddleston but I cannot disconnect these and KNOW that she is meaning to put these to the Beatty and Bass line...
There is another gedcom in process for Abraham Huddleston...I can hardly wait :p

Sorry--goes with the above: William Baty

Don’t mix him up with William Overton ‘Buck’ Batey ...

Erica Howton--they are already listed...This is a gedcom upload. You mastered William Overton Beatty a while back over the confusion. I see you disconnected--thank you. I am working on his profile right now.
Fact is I believe I have Bass but this is not it. I do trust the process here and am working to make his profile "good enough to be a Master Profile".

Improved already. Get the names of the parents in there.

Benjamin Bass, of Brunswick County
cutting and merging needed...
Erica Howton do you mean I need to put the parent's names in the About? They are already listed...am looking for sources for them

Yes, always write the parents / spouses names in the about, please. Saves endless trouble. As close to the top as possible, then it shows in tree view on a “hover” over the profile.

I am seeing parents born and died ion England...that is not correct if he was born in Virginia. I need some sources for him--he had a will;was he named in a will himself? Still looking...

Erica Howton - re: your comment that "then it shows in tree view on a “hover” over the profile" -- I am not seeing anything when I "hover" over the profile in Tree View.
Is your seeing something a function of your being a Curator, or what version of Tree View one is using? [I am using HTML, - I tried it with both formats - think one is called "Pedigree", no idea what the other is called - but neither show anything when I hover]

Private User--it still works and mine is now Basic--may be the difference between devices...I can see on my desktop but not iPad or iPhone

Correct, you can only get a “view in” of the top of the “about” on a full computer with a mouse.

I am working on a Desktop Computer with a Mouse. Currently using Chrome. Using the HTML Tree, not the Flash Tree.

If I hover over a blue circle with a number in it, in upper left, I see the set of colored boxes for what type matches [Tree, Record, Smart] and how many of each the profile has.
If I hover over a green cloud with a number in it, I get a "cloud" telling me "View XXX's branch of the Tree".
Also, if I hover over a little green circle with a number in it in the lower left corner of the Profile box, it explains that the profile appears multiple times, click to see ...
So hover does do something in Tree View. But

Have never seen any reaction to hovering over the profile box itself in Tree View, have never seen any response to hovering that involves showing me part of the About.
Is there a specific part of the box one should be hovering over?
Is it Flash only?
Any other ideas?

PS - Just tried on Internet Explorer and same results.

Hover over the parent or spouse or children names is what I think is referring to?

The name...

"The parent of spouse or children names" -- that is on the Profile View, not Tree View.
Hovering over the name in Tree View - definitely zip.

Are you sure you are using the HTML Tree, not the Flash Tree?
(I do not recall seeing it back when I was using the Flash Tree, but I may just not have paused / given it a chance. Cannot use the Flash Tree now.)

I would have to check from the laptop & try & make you a screenshot. It’s not the name, it’s a glimpse into the “about.” Should be avail regardless of browser, HTML & flash. It’s why I always try and put the vitals including name first in the overview.
