Christian Mathiasen Pionero de la Migración Danesa hacia América del Sur Argentina colono en Tandil Provincia de Buenos Aires ,una de sus calles lleva su nombre en su memoria, Del libro "Entre Sofie y Tovelille " de Maria Bjerg " Según narra Fugl en sus memorias ( La Biblioteca real de Copenhague guarda en sus archivos los manuscritos originales de las memorias de Juan Fugl es mencionado junto a otros Daneses , El casamiento de Christian Mathiasen y Anne Marie Larsdatter fue el primer casamiento realizado por Juan Fugl en forma provisoria hasta que llegara un pastor alemán o ingles desde Buenos Aires. El casamiento está registrado bajo el Numero 1 en el primer libro de la Congregación Protestante de Tandil, la cual fue fundada el 27 de Octubre de 1864 por Juan Fugl.

Bjerg escribe : "......En total 16 personas emprendieron el viaje en Julio de 1859, ellos iban a transformarse en el primer hilo de una urdimbre de relaciones sociales que atrajo desde Maribo hacia Tandil (Argentina) a un importante flujo de migrantes durante las décadas de 1860 y 1870. ......esas 16 personas eran: Magrethe Larsen, CHRISTIAN MATHIASEN, Carl Broberg y su esposa, Philip Mackeprang y sus 5 hijos, Manuel Eigler, Thorvald Petersen, Peder Nielsen, y Dorothea y Juan Fugl, y una tal Maigren. ..........Después de que los Fugl llegaron a Tandil, varios de aquellos primeros danesees fueron empleados por Juan (Hans) Fugl, entre ellos también CRISTIAN MATHIASEN......" Christian Mathiasen fue uno de los principales responsables de tender el puente imaginario que comunicó Maribo con la Argentina durante dos décadas, y hoy viven allí en la ciudad de Tandil innumerables descendientes.
