The portraits attached here to Rev John Lothrop (1584-1653) are not of him; rather, they are of Rev. John Lathrop (1740-1816). The one above on the page appears to have been taken from a book by Chandler Robbins, "A history of the Second Church, or Old North, in Boston: to which is added a History of the New Brick Church". Boston: John Wilson & Son, 1852.
