Combining conventional genealogical research with Y-DNA testing offers a powerful tool for confirming male lines of descent. One prominent American Fox family of Colonial Virginia had been well studied, but some relationships remained unverified. For example, was Henry Fox 2nd (1674–1750) actually the son of Henry Fox 1st (1650–1714) and Anne West? Some genealogists had denied the connection based on a lack of evidence in his grandfather’s will. We analyzed Y-DNA short tandem repeat (STR) results from selected descendants of this Colonial Fox family to answer this and other outstanding questions. The DNA evidence agreed with traditional research identifying Henry Fox 2nd as the true son of Henry Fox 1st. Henry Fox 1st belonged to the R1b-L47 haplogroup, and we inferred his 37-marker STR haplotype, giving us a firm basis for comparison. DNA testing of other Fox men was able to confirm or refute proposed relationships to this family and, in the process, expand on other genealogical research efforts. Most unexpectedly, a connection to a well researched Colonial Philadelphia Fox family was uncovered.

Yep. It's fixed now. I don't understand how this "spam data" gets attached to Master profiles.
Given that both the mother and the wife of William III are listed as Katherine "Elizabeth," I suspect the confusion came about as a result of the confusion between William II and William III, rather than because each of these two unrelated women shared the exact same name combination. Additionally, John Dandridge's profile lists daughter "Elizabeth" and on wikitree it says there was a daughter Elizabeth b. 1696 (no further data), Elizabeth b. 1703 married Henry Wyatt, and Elizabeth b. 1673 married William Claiborne. Wife of John Dandridge the father was born in 1656 and the date of their marriage is listed as 1676, so there is a problem with the birthdate for Elizabeth-wife-of-Claiborne.

I reviewed the discussion on Elizabeth/Catherine's page Catherine (or Elizabeth) Claiborne and Latrobe says "Elizabeth" with a birthdate of 1673 but IN VA, which would not have been possible if her father married Bridget Dugdle in England in 1676. "Our Southern Cousins" gives Catherine Elizabeth WILKES as wife to William II and mother to William III.

The whole tree looks messed up to me, but at the least, maybe make William II's wife Catherine Elizabeth Wilkes and make William III's wife Elizabeth Dandridge? I see no sources to indicate "Katherine" possibly being her name.
