Arrius Calpurnius Piso, King of Syria
Impossible to figure out who he's supposed to be. Too many aliases, and the dates don't work. Just crank stuff.
But nothing new about Trump, or anybody this side of Charlemagne. Just the theory that Trump is Trump because his ancestors were dictators.
Trouble is, we all share the same ancestors at that distance.

I don't remember if it had shown Donald Trump was a descendant of John Stewart and my 15th great grandmother Eleanor Sinclair or John Stewart and Margaret Douglas. Oh...Margaret Douglas is also blood to me...

Cheley - the descent you posted In msg https://www.geni.com/discussions/214909?msg=1418202 is not supported. We’ve been through this before. The presidential genealogists are working with Scotland People “on the ground” in Isle of Lewis, where they are very skimpy on records.
I added parents to Mary Munro but I’m uncertain going further back without images to see.
Cheley, I’m concerned about the mistakes in Trumps genealogy being re- introduced. It had been on Geni before his election and before the presidential genealogists corrected it, but it was upsetting to people - including you, if I recall correctly - to see that connection “cut.”
So I’m eager “not” to see distress again.
In my opinion, it’s too difficult for “us amateurs working without records” to take it further back. But there’s “sideways” in the 19th / 20th century still to be entered. I believe there were quite a few of these Isle of Lewis families to Ontario, for example this fellow: William Macleod
Unknown Profile That’s the official presidential genealogy we’ve had on Geni since the article came out. And I’m pretty sure everyone in it has been entered on Geni, but perhaps their collateral families can be added. Give me a moment and I’ll give you the linked document again, it’s easy to navigate from.
No cheley, https://www.geni.com/discussions/214909?msg=1418215 has errors.
I’m pretty sure at “ William MacLeod of Skerray (1806-1869) & Catherine MacLeod (1809- ) “ is off - but I have to find the correct.
William MacLeod Is “not” the same as “ William MacLeod of Skerray (1806-1869)”

“ 4. William MacLeod (Aird Tong, Stornoway 26 April 1806–Vatisker 12 November 1869), son of Kenneth MacLeod and Catherine MacIver; married Stornoway 19 November 1828 25. Christian/Catherine MacLeod (b. Stornoway ca. 1809), daughter of Donald MacLeod and Margaret Cameron”
https://www.geni.com/discussions/214909?msg=1418223 is a mixup with a different family. In a different place.
There is a new book of local genealogy in the village where Pres. Trump’s mothers ancestors lived. See:
https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Macleod-2028
(Sister of William Macleod)
This is the 2019 (?) book
"Croft History - Isle of Lewis, Volume 29" by Bill Lawson for Comann Eachdraidh Sgìr a'Bhac. (This is the Gaelic for "Back Historical Society. The Volume deals with the village of Vatisker, Gaelic form Bhataisgeir.

Unknown Profile You’re not following the geography. Skerry is “not” Isle of Lewis.
I’m not at all concerned about Trumps family hooking into more royal lines. In fact, I’m more or less in agreement with Ulf - of course he’s descended, we all are.
But we also can’t make it up, and his Scots line is stymying the best of the best.
We keep saying, build the German side, better records.
This is where the mixup is.
Catherine Elisabeth Macleod And her father Commissary Donald MacLeod, of Whitefield near Thurso - as Diana Collins pointed out up thread. This is the family referred to in book of the Mackay.
This site is informative about Isle of Lewis families. But it costs money for access to records.

And for the Scots side, “on the ground” in the home country.
The diaspora generations (to Canada mostly it seems)

May well have intermarried with others who have established lines.

I am perfectly fine with this. :)
Thierry Badoc -- Because John's granddaughter Beatrice married John, Duke of Brittany, a great many French people are descended from him.
There would be other lines, too, but that's the one I saw first.
