I am a descendant of William Case, however, based on the document I found on Find A Grave, he was married to Elizabeth Purchase and you show he is married to Ruth. Could you help me out with what document confirms his marriage to Ruth?

Erica Howton could you take a look at this?

Can you post a link to the Elizabeth Purchase reference? This profile’s FindaGrave memorial does not reference a spouse.

I see a duplicate FindAGrave listing Elizabeth Purchase (1593 - 1663)

Compared to Ruth Case

People sure do like the name Elizabeth Purchase. Here are too more different ones:

Elizabeth Case & John Solomon Case, of Aylesham

Elizabeth Case & Richard Case, of East Hartford

Don’t merge them.

Some years ago I found memorial #120596569 for William Case on FindAGrave. This is the one that lists Elizabeth Purchase as his wife. I recently found #181668233 for William Case which shows parents but no spouse. Each FAG shows a different child, but only one each. I have contacted each of these people about their memorial and FAG for the fact that there are duplicates. The person who posted the FAG showing E. Purchase does not have documentation for that. The person who did the other memorial said she didn't have any documentation on a spouse so didn't list one.

I have since found several Ancestry trees plus what I found here, showing Ruth James as the wife of William Case. I have not found the documentation for that so I am still looking to find something to prove that out.

I appreciate both of you working with me on this.
