1 April 1531: Instrument narrating that the procurator for Jonet Corry, relict of the late (Alexander Kennedy) of Girvanemanis, and noe spouse of Thomas Kennedy (of Knockreach), solemnly protested (apparently before the sheriff of Ayr or his depute in reference to a decreet effecting the lands) that whatever was done or to be done before the sheriff this day or any other should not pejudice the said Jonet as to her conjunct infeftment of the lands of Girvanemanis, or any other lands of the late Alexander, her spouse. Done at M'ylvenistoun 1 April 1531. Witnesses, George Douglas, William Stewart and Bartholomew Craufued of Kerss.
