Surname is Unknown. Not Hoyt. Not Foster. No records have been found in New England, giving her a surname or relationships to persons other than her husband.

The source for Alice's maiden name appears to be User contributed IGI: Alice Foster, or Alice Hoyt, married 1636 to William Crocker (born 1608).

There was also an Alice Hoyt Crocker who married Jacob Penoyer on March 27, 1794 in Lee MA; but that seems a little far removed for a namesake. "Deacon William Crocker and his wife Alice Hoyt" certainly appear in many family histories online, but I'm not finding a contemporary source. Powell-5629 11:42, 11 January 2015 (EST)

Josephine Frost reports no record of Alice's maiden name.[1] Torrey's New England Marriages, drawn from several sources, found no maiden name in those sources.[2]
