The testatrix’s sister, Margaret Waldegrave, appears to have predeceased her. Margaret Waldegrave married Sir John St John (b. before 1495, d. 19 December 1558) of Bletsoe, Bedfordshire, by whom she had two sons, Sir Oliver St John (d. 21 April 1582), 1st Baron St John of Bletsoe, and John St John, and four daughters: Margery St John, who married firstly Henry Grey, esquire, and secondly Francis Pigott, esquire; Anne St John, who married Richard Dennis; Margaret St John, who married firstly William Gostwick, esquire, and secondly Francis Russell, 2nd Earl of Bedford; and Alice St John, who married Edmund Elmes, esquire. See Richardson, Douglas, Magna Carta Ancestry, 2nd ed., 2011, Vol. I, pp. 218-21, and Vol. IV, p. 284.
