About Corporal Benjamin Mills, ♊
concerns
Do not confuse this Benjamin with Benjamin Mills, Jr., of Needham.
disambiguation
Three men named Benjamin Mills lived in Needham in the 1700's. They have often been confused, and were conflated in WikiTree. One Benjamin was born in Needham in 1722 and married Elizabeth Fellows in 1755. Their son Benjamin was born there in 1756, lived in Needham all his life, was a soldier of the Revolution and died there (recorded as the son of Benjamin) in 1801, ae 46 years. All those events are recorded in Needham records. The other Benjamin Mills, the subject of this profile, was reportedly born in 1752, possibly to a Jonas Mills, but no record of his birth or parentage has been found yet. He was a blacksmith by trade, married two women named Sarah in Needham and had children with them in Needham and elsewhere, was a soldier of the Revolution, and removed to Vinalhaven, Maine in 1793 where he raised his family and died in 1824.[1]
