About Diana Gibson
Under the stage name "Diana Gibson," she appeared in several movies in the 1930s, including "Adventure's End" (starring John Wayne) and "Stage Door" (Kathryn Hepburn, Lucille Ball).
While living in Lebanon and Mt. Gretna, she became a benefactor of the Good Samaritan Hospital and performed in local theatre. A reminiscence regarding one of her local performances:
[Ms. Schropp], a Hollywood actress (the former Diana Gibson, who came to Mt. Gretna and never left), is best remembered for her starring role in "Tillie the Mennonite Maid," one of the most popular plays ever staged [in Mt. Gretna]. She also served as Treasurer of the Lebanon Daily News when her husband was General Manager of the paper.
