

Jim Acosta is an American journalist who is currently the Chief White House Correspondent for CNN. Previously, Acosta served as the National Political Correspondent for CNN.
Acosta's father arrived as a refugee from Cuba three weeks prior to the Cuban Missile Crisis and was raised in Virginia. His mother, who worked as a bartender, is of Irish and Czech ancestry. The couple divorced when Acosta was young.
Acosta and his wife, Sharon Mobley Stow, a registered nurse, separated in 2017 after 24 years of marriage. They have one daughter (Hartley) and one son (Peter).
