Sir John Moncreiffe, 9th of that Ilk was the son of John Moncreiffe, 8th of that Ilk and Margaret Levingston.[2]

He married Beatrix Forman, daughter of unknown Forman.[1]

He died on 9 September 1513 at Flodden Field, Northumberland, England, killed in action.[3]

He fought in the Battle of Flodden on 9 September 1513.[1]
