5. JOHN TYLER (HENRY , HENRY ) was born Abt. 1686 in York County, VA, and died May 3 2 1 2, 1727 in James City County, VA. He married ELIZABETH JARRETT. She was born Abt. 1693 in VA.

Notes for JOHN TYLER:

In his father Henry's will, it states, To John my grandchild, son of John Tyler deceased, and his daughters Joanna, Elizabeth, Mary and Edith, each of them a young negro of value 10 pounds money.

John was a student at William and Mary College in 1704. Under the will of John Page, who was the father of his grandmother, he was given a tract of land in the Powhattan swamp, James city and a legacy of fifty pounds.

In 1721, his negro slave, Priamus, was injured while firing the "great guns" on the aniversary of his majesty's coronation and John was paid 16 pounds sterling.
