- Sir Ralph de Gorges, of Wraxall (Somerset), Bradpool (Dorset), Braunton (Devon), Knighton (Isle of Wight), etc. was son and heir of Sir Ralph de Gorges, of the same, presumably by Maud, his wife (b), and grandson of another Sir Ralph de Gorges, by his wife Ellen, daughter and coheir of Ives de Morville. - (b) On 27 June 1297, Maud, late the wife of Ralph de Gorges, had assignment of dower for a third of her husband's lands by assent of Robert FitzPayn and other the executors of the said Ralph on the one part and J. Lovel, acting for Maud. The manor of Bradpool was included. Sources
