About Sir Richard de Bulkeley
Sir Richard de Bulkeley was born on 22 February 1369 at of Cheadle, Cheshire, England.[1]
He married Margery Venables, daughter of Hugh Venables, Baron of Kinderton Manor and Margery Cotton, circa 1387.[2]
Sir Richard de Bulkeley died in November 1412 at age 43.[3]

8 Apr 1391: Indenture recording the delivery by Thomas le Maistresson, escheator of Cheshire, to Margery, widow of Richard de Bulkyley [Bulkeley] of Cheadle, of her dower portion in various lands in Hale, Ashley and Middlewich [Cheshire] (details given), as ordered by letters of Richard II dated 6 April 1391. Dated at Nantwich (Wicum Malbin) [Cheshire]. Seal of Thomas le Maistresson.[5]
8 Apr 1391: Release by the escheator in Cheshire, Thomas le Maystresson, of lands held in the king's hand, to Richard le Vernon and Hugh le Mon so that they can be granted to Margery, widow of Richard Bulkyley, during her natural life, according to the will of Richard de Bulkyley, as commanded by letters close from King Richard II, dated at Chester on 6 April 1391 addressed to his escheator in Cheshire, Thomas le Maystresson, since an inquisition before John Leche, former escheator in Cheshire, found Richard de Bulkyley of Cheadle, Cheshire, died seized of half of the town of Cheadle with the advowson of the church, of a plot of land with appurtenances in Hale, and a plot of land in Ashley, and he granted all his other lands to Richard de Vernon and Hugh le Mon, Richard de Vernon and Hugh le Mon granted to Nicholas, brother of Richard de Bulkeley, 20 marks of land with appurtenances in Middlewich, to be held by him during his life, after his death to remain to the right heirs of Richard de Bulkyley. All the other lands and tenements of Richard de Bulkyley should pertain to Margery, widow of Richard Bulkyley, for the term of her life, and are in the king's hand and should be released to Richard le Vernon and Hugh le Mon.[6]
20 Jun 1414: Confirmation by Richard de Bulkylegh [Bulkeley], son of Richard de Bulkylegh of Cheadle [Cheshire], that lands and tenements granted by his late father to Margery, his widow, shall remain in her possession for term of her life, according to the four earlier deeds cited in the indenture:[7]
Dec 1431: A. 9346. Counterpart of demise, Sunday before Christmas, 10 Henry VI, by Richard de Bulkelegh of Chedle, to William Dogge and Roger and Robert his sons, for thirty years, of a moiety of two parts 'del Overparke' of Chedle, at 10s. rent; with remainder, in the event of their decease during the term, to Ralph Dogge and Thomas and William his sons, &c.[8] (Likely his son, also named Richard)
