Sir Roger Aston, Sheriff of Staffordshire, Constable of the Tower of London, Justice of the Peace for Staffordshire married Joyce Freville, daughter of Sir Baldwin IV Freville and Maud le Scrope, circa 1410; His 1st marriage; they had 1 son (Sir Robert) and 1 daughter (Joan, wife of Sir Roger Draycot).[1]

Sir Roger Aston, Sheriff of Staffordshire, Constable of the Tower of London, Justice of the Peace for Staffordshire married Elizabeth Meinill, daughter of Sir Ralph de Meinhill and Joan, before 17 November 1424; No issue. She married (1) William Crawshaw.[2]

The History of Parliament website, http://www.historyofparliamentonline.org/volume/1386-1421/member/as..., shows the wife of Sir Thomas Aston as being Elizabeth Cloddeshall , widow of Sir William Devereux† (d.c.1384); married Thomas Aston by October 1385.

The publication, "Staffordshire Members of Parliament" (p. 128) describes Thomas's wife as Elizabeth Cloddeshall, when in 1360 and 1388 they were involved and pardoned in a murder, and then in 1397 and 1410 he is found married to the widow of Sir William Devereaux, and later writing describes Thomas's wife Elizabeth as the "sister and coheiress of Reynold de Leigh.
