In his will [4] written August 08, 1750, William mentions his wife Hannah, sons Samuel, Stephen, William, Ezekiel and daughters Lydia and Mary, who were 12 years of age. The Mary mentioned in his will is believed to be the daughter of William's third wife. A daughter named Mary, who may have died in 1715, would be from his first wife Mercy Prentice and a daughter named Mary who married James Beebe, November 19, 1721 would be from his second wife Ruth Rogers. William C. Beebe, 68, of New London, Connecticut was listed in the 1840, Census of Pensioners, Revolutionary and Military Services, which was originally compiled by the federal government from the 1840 U.S. Federal Census, which required enumerators (census takers) to list the names and ages of Revolutionary War and other federal military service pensioners in households.
