Hello fellow hunter of all things ancestry... there are many discrepencies on websites about who William's parents are... albeit Edmund (Edward) and Grace, or Thomas and Sarah (Sally)... and his birth year...1587 or 1600. Is it possible that Edmund and Thomas were brothers? Edmund and Grace both died before 1600... Is it possible that Edmund's brother Thomas "adopted" William, and had him baptized in 1600, even though his birth year is more than likely 1587? Edmund died in 1590 and Grace in 1594... which would have made young Willian around 7... If Thomas (brother of Edmund?) and Sally "adopted" him... they may have had him baptized into their family in 1600? I'm looking for a sister "Frances Claiborne" (b. abt 1600), reportedly of "Grace Bellingham, or Bellington". Frances married "William Withers"... her "abt" birthdate puts her as a possible child of Edmund and Grace, and sister of William... If Thomas married Sarah in 1598, and William was born in 1587... who was his mother? It is also possible that Thomas married his brother Edmund's spouse Grace, and fathered Frances... Grace then died in 1594, and he married Sarah in 1598... William Withers has early ties to VA as well, and as the prominent married the prominent back then, it's highly possible that she existed... a possible name is Agnes Frances Claiborne... but that name puts her as a much later birth date... daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth Keene... any help you can lend is appreciated.

One of my lines ties into to this lineage:

I am NOT 100 percent positive if James Sullivan is the same James Sullivan that seems to connect to Elizabeth Claiborne (haven't had much time to research it anyway). So who knows at this point. James Joseph Sullivan

William Claiborne, Col would be my 7th cousin 13 times removed.
