I merged a no name but you did find at least part of the problem. The sheet you showed me is for Attakullakulla and that is Little Carpenter, Sa-li-gu-gi Wo-he-le-nv, is Snaping Turtle and A-ya-qui is Turtle-At-Home.

I don't know who Wanda is but the the names aren't even close to one another.

You all all people should know that if you use someone elses Gedcom, your just coping someone elses mistake.

These are all Eastern Cherokees. I know I had a good ref for , Attakullakulla once. The other two I'm not so sure of.But I know there was a whole series of turtle in another part of the tree. Again Eastern tribe.

Unless someone can come up with good ref for all three with the families, then My only "guess" is that this is one of the turtles, and not Attakullakulla.

In wanda's case it looks like she tried to use Attakullakulla as a last name because she has Carpenter Chief Attakullakulla as the father of
Attakullakulla Turtle At Home Sa-li-gu-gi Wo-he-le-nv
then has a at-Home A-Ya-Qui Turtle thrown in as a son.And I see a female A-Ya-Qui also.

Marv my battery is running out. Check the Dragging Canoe family. I could swear he had a Turtle at Home son.

And Sa-li-gu-gi Wo-he-le-nv "Turtle at Home" Cherokee (Attakullakulla // Turtle-At-Home ) is part of that tree.
And that brings me back to were I started.

At least Chief Attakullakulla "Little Carpenter", Cherokee Emissary to England has ref. but here's the kicker. In his aka there is "Little Carpenter, Ata'-gul-kalu, Okoonaka, Captain Owean Nakan, Leaning Wood, Little Corn Planter, The Civil Chief, The Peace Chief, or White Chief; Chuconnunta, Clogoittah, Prince of Chota; Tathatowe, Tiftowe Truconita, Tommy of Tenase, The White Owl"

He was the Uku of Tanasi and Okoonaka is someone else so I'm getting rid of those also.

We need someone who knows the area to clear it up. Even if you find a ref, unless it was writen in the 17/1800s it is more than not wrong.

The one ref takes you to Onacona "White Owl" Attakullkulla aka Attacullaculla-Adagaligala. and Changes him from a Uku to "Supreme Chief of Cherokees" I'm not even going to start on what's wrong with that.
And yes, it must be right because Janice, Sleeping Feather said it on 5/21/2001.

Marv it's correct. I uploaded a source document. Turtle at Home was also called "Shoe Boots.". He was a Chicamauga warrior along with his brother Dragging Canoe.
