Odin Wodin, King of Sweden is my 35th ggf.

Hi Denise,
WOW, how come you are more direct than me? hee hee
I will enjoy seeing how we connect dear cousin.

Oh Denise, I see we are 16th cousins twice removed. I think that being related to the Hungerford family of Somerset and Gloucestershire in England seems to be the king pin as they married into such noble families.

Do you agree?

Ann, I believe you may be right about that!

Well Denise, there is some doubt about the husbands of Barbara Devereaux and this could affect my line of ancestry. It is very frustrating to find that perhaps someone's 'slip of the pen' could have sent many people on a wild goose chase.

I think we rely so much on what we read when in search on the internet and if we find two or three quoting identical facts, we are inclined to believe what we have read! It is frustrating when we have doubts.

I am hoping we can all sort some anomolies out here.

P.S. The trouble is that some churches kept meticulous records prior to mid 1500s even though they were not obliged to do this. However in mid 1500s, it was demanded that the churches did keep records of births etc but prior to this date, we rely on perhaps the word of mouth of people.
