The nicknames like "the Gentle" (English) and "der Sanftmütige" (German) are the same. This should not be a problem, but some people decide against a necessary merging, may be just because of their lack of knowledge of languages, others create double profiles may be out of the same reason.
I think it is overdue to do a localisation of geni.com - otherwise we will never ever be able to do the real work and always some of us will have to spend all their time and all their work with the undoing of unnecessary work of others.
