This part of the tree which John Clarke above is in appears similar to the tree for Unknown Profile in terms of their parents, but their wives are different. Here is one source of information for the John Clark who married Mary and Sara - http://familytreemaker.genealogy.com/users/b/a/i/Susan-C-Bailey/GEN... I don't know which (if either) of the spouse and descendant lists is correct or most correct.

I can't find anything reasonable in terms of Zaruiah Clarke "Zeruiah Clark" is the closest name which returns results in searches which don't include that geni profile and those results generally seem to be for a more recent female without John as a father. Given that this person has no linked profiles on geni besides those I'm trying to clean up, is there a good reason to keep the profile under the current name?

The profile for Lieutenant Samuel Huntington, Sr. indicates that his wife Mary's father's name was probably William. The profile for Mary (Clark) Huntington says: "Not sure of her father's name....says it was "John" Clark on familysearch.org on 1/25/09" I think it's safe to disconnect her from John until further evidence comes to light.

There are two different accounts as far as the spouse( s) of John Clark, Jr., of East Hampton go, one at http://familytreemaker.genealogy.com/users/b/a/i/Susan-C-Bailey/GEN... and the other (listed on his profile) at http://nybirds.net/jsbailey/d56.htm#P3193 However, both agree in listing his mother as Sarah, which makes Sarah Clark look more and more like she needs a new name.

There doesn't appear to be a significant discrepancy for Thomas Clark

Joshua Clarke has no relationships on geni outside of this immediate family. Based on all of the above, I'm going to suggest changing Rebecca's name to Sarah, leaving (or removing, renaming) Zaruiah and Joshua as hangers on without outside relationships and suggest a divorce from this family for Mary Huntington. That resolves the issues for the merge and the only issue which remains is the family of John Clark, Jr., of East Hampton

This is not my line, but this line gets mixed up with my John Clark of New Haven line often because John Clark of New Haven married a Sarah and a Mary too.

Terry Clark

I have been in touch with a descendant of Thomas Clark & Susanna Ring who descends from their son Andrew. His YDNA test comes back as I-M253 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haplogroup_I-M253.
