How do I add Avraham Ben Yitzhak, the first Hebrew Poet (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Avraham_Ben-Yitzhak) to the list of cultural figures?
Best regards,
Gideon
Gideon D Intrater You "Join" the project: http://www.geni.com/projects/Galician-Eastern-European-Jews/4832
Then in the main body of the project, on the upper right, you click "edit".
Once you scroll down to the area you want to insert your information in, you
usually follow the format already used to create the list.
Gideon D Intrater Thank you for pointing out this important profile. Yigal Burstein might be able to think of other projects to add this great Israeli Poet, Avraham Ben Yitzhak.
Gideon D Intrater, what kind of pointer are you thinking of? A reference on the project description page. Seems sort of redundant, already having the list of project profiles enough?
Shmuel-Aharon, if you check out the cultural figures list in http://www.geni.com/projects/Galician-Eastern-European-Jews/4832 you'll see that most of the links are to the Wikipedia page rather than to the Geni profile. Agnon and Mel Brooks were the exceptions. I have figured out how to get both pointers - see the updated entry for Avraham Ben-Yitzhak.
Gideon - that looks good. The convention I have seen on other project pages that seems to work well is that links to Geni profiles are BOLD, while links to Wikipedia and other non-Geni sources are not bold. It is then very clear without needing to click or hover over the link which names have been associated with Geni profiles and which not yet.
