Marie-Anne Martis is my 9th great grandmother. What is the likelihood of her being Metis if she was born in France?

If she was born in France very (highly) unlikely she is Metis.
Looking at profile it states born in France and died in Quebec. Chance she may have married of a person of mixed ancestry but as far as her being Metis I would suggest no, if her true country of birth is France.

A lot of people have done a lot of research and constant cleaning up of this profile and in general are to be applauded. Not easy at all.

As to the notion that she is was Métis It would be necessary to question the person that so added Métis to her profile and why.

If nothing comes up, the curator will likely remove the word "Metis" ?

I personnally have nothing to offer beyond the mariage act and the PRDH reference posted in the profil marriage event. The parents are not identified in either.

But the relationship researched by several of the contribitors and documented in her profil, as to her family seems plausible.

Good hunting !
