Does anyone have the sources that validate his first marriage (to Christine Madeleine du Pont, SM) date as 4/7/1657?

You could contact Annelie Els - she may have the source on record. http://www.stamouers.com/index.php/component/contact/contact/25-web...
Reply to death/burial of Jacques also there
"Hy laat in die Kaap 3 getroude dogters en een seun, waarskynlik Philippe Rudolph, agter. Lg. het sonder erfgenaam gesterf. Dit is bekend dat Jacques by die Walloonse kerk in Amsterdam aangesluit het in 1714. Tog keer hy weer terug na die Kaap in 1716. Daar sterf hy op die rype ouderdom van 81 en is begrawe in Oktober 1717. Christine du Pont sterf 1686. Sy het 5 kinders gehad."
Quote from Manfred Nathan's book (I have added the full quote on the project http://www.geni.com/projects/de-Savoye-Genealogy-of-South-Africa/15254 (please correct any typo's!!) which suggests that he did not return to the Cape.
... Their father was so impoverished that he was unable to pay the full passage money home. He settled down in Holland, and died there in October, 1717, at the ripe age of eighty-one. His wife died in May, 1721....
Great add to the project. You're a star!
Yes, I was wondering if that was proof enough to change him, his wife & her mom's death places - presently set at the Cape. Then I saw one note that suggested that he, at least, returned to SA, and another that pointed out there was no proof of this. Then I got a headache... :-)
And I think we won't worry Daan Botes in Zambia with the further puzzle of what to do if the SM & the PROG get BACK on the boat after landing :-) :-)
This is now sacred ground!
I am sorry to say that once you have landed on SA soil, you can never shed your acquired status.
It is similar to a family line that has stopped producing descendants.
So bored doing nothing and having time to fill my empty hours, I might just consider inviting questions for a small fee!!
