There are 110 descendants of my great-grandfather; That is only the number in the tree so far -Pretty impressive!

Dear Coleen, As you know, my son Greg is the principle driving force behind this web site - I started it but he has paid a genealogist to help us in our search. The biggest challenge was to find the family name of Michael Sullivan's wife Elizabeth. (After all SHE was the mother of nine children!) As we now know, her maiden name was McKenna! Greg also dug up the family connection in Ireland. And he paid to have a headstone placed on Michael's grave next to my grandfather Battalion Chief Patrick and his wife Margaret Winn Sullivan's graves in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Washington, D.C. So many people - here such a short time and then gone forever. I'd love to hear from you while I'm still around, Honey Sullivan Moga

It is very touching that our lineage is celebrated in that way; I hope I can go to the grave site. It gives me a lot of strength to find out more about our family.

Dear Colleen, As you know, your paternal grandparents were Dr. Joe and Betty O'Brien O'Malley. Betty married again after Joe's death. And Betty's mother and father were Margaret (known as Maggie) Winn Sullivan and Battalion Chief Patrick Sullivan. They are buried alongside your great great grandfather Michael Sullivan in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Washington, D.C. And as I noted in a previous note, Michael came to America at age 15 from Cork, Ireland! GENI can "take" you that far back if you are interested. Hope you are well and happy. Write directly to me at mmoga1@frontier.com if you have any questions. Your Cousin Honey Sullivan Moga
