The locations seems quite different. His "sister" is documented into the Trowbridge of Taunton, Somerset family

I know that the ancestors of Lt Richard Hutchins moved from England to Virginia and the two brothers went at separated times to Va. One stayed and the other went to Maryland--- named Thomas and Nicholas are used over and over- Nicholas is the one who stayed in Va... think some of his descendents are related to the Custis family of Va.
Lt Richard Hutchins was living at Atlanta Hall at My Lady's Manor -- current mailing area is for Monkton Maryland.
I just came home last evening from Cancer surgery- so will do a step back until I am feeling better- I hope this helps...when I can I will take a better look...thank you-- I think one branch is listed in Maryland Gentry. They intermarried to the better familes- Standiford is another is Norris and later into the Payne family--- I would like to go back farther on this line as they have so many descendants-- wonder if any have done a DNA- I get lost with the Mass. branch and confused... I understand more than just the two came to the colonies yet do not know which siblings... I have seen two coats of arms-- yet am suspicious as I do not see the family traced back to that as yet and it was fashionable for older families to simply purchase on as we know often happened as people gained wealth and positon --- please keep me up on any info you come up with-- I will no doubt need some time to get into it and see if I can help... Cheers and have a fine day- this will be interesting...Philip

Your notes do help very much, thank you!
I actually got onto this by trying to disentangle the Massachusetts family:
http://www.geni.com/discussions/150668
And I'm (so far) of the opinion there is not a connection between them & where a branch of known history begins:
Nicholas "the Quaker" Hutchins
Looking like his line connects up to the Maryland Hutchins family; not proven, but a good circumstantial case made (i hope the arguments are clear enough).
So I'm going "up tree" to ensure to "Towcester of Hutchins" are clear, and see this (Mis?) alliance of Northamptonshire to Somerset?
My best wishes for a speedy recovery, the roses are needing you. :)
Hi Erica, as we get into the winter I will really see what I can do re the Hutchins part of my family--I know I have some additional material- ha at my age its just finding it again. I am wondering if any DNA work has been done on the two different branches- we need enough samples - people often forget that at time outside affiairs and adoptions can confuse the DNA, which is why it would be good to have a fair sample... I will field a few question to my branch to see what I can find.. Erica - always nice to hear form you- cheers Philip
I just ran into this connection tracing out a cousin line and see that things haven't been resolved since 2015 or else they were and got messed up again. It looks like the dad can be merged but which mother is correct?
I'm hoping a descendant or someone more familiar with the lines can help sort the multiple parents out so the Geni pathways are correct . Thanks!
