Someone who is a direct descendant should do some research. I came across something (2 or 3 different places - can't remember where) that gave some background on him that was VERY exciting. It had to do with trapping, indians, indian fighting, settling new territory, and all sorts of travel from place to place. It seems he was quite the restless soul that loved adventure. I am descended from his brother.
