In 2014 I added a paragraph in his timeline because the discussion board was not functioning. I like to repeat that there is documented data for Willem and there is no reason nor evidence to connect anybody from the "Pels" family to Willem Jascobsen van Boerum, and although his father was "Jacob" there is no documentation to make him son of "Jacob van Boerum" His father could have been from a very different area.
I like to see this "immigrant ancestor" corrected and updated.

Apparently a few of the profiles have been wrongly merged I see the mother of the Pels children Jannetje Symons Schepmoes was merged into Geertje Hendrickse van Gogh Apr 24, 2013

The father Evert Evertsen Pels was merged into Willem Jacobse van Boerum Apr 24, 2013 at 8:54 AM

These profiles no longer exist, it has been too long ago to do a undo merge.

I see there are others Evert Evertszen Pels & Jannetjen Sijmons

I'm not sure which Pels children actually belong to them yet but we can move them over to these other parents.

Here's a resource to cross-reference profiles:
http://vredenburgh.org/vredenburgh/familytree/pafg145.htm

Private User I would be extremely cautious using that resource, I found this example:

http://vredenburgh.org/vredenburgh/familytree/pafg05.htm#13941

Rebecca Du Trieux [Parents] was born 1635 in New Amsterdam, Kings, New York, USA.

Rebecca married Symon (Symonse) Groot on BET 1629 AND 1638 in Schenectady, Schenectady, New York, USA.

They had the following children:

ii Cornelis (Groot) Simons was born about 1682 in Schenectady

vi Jannetje Symens was born 1623

So a woman marries at age -6 to 3, has child six at age -12 and child two at 47

Either the author of that website has dyslexia or else they have mixed up various generations possibly even different families without a thought for even basic logic.
