It seems to be like a circular thing, plus time. Everyone is interrelated.

Longshanks was a somewhat good ruler at home, but treated other folks horribly such as the Scots. He expelled the Jewish folk from England. Somehow, he was considered to have been descended from them.
I don't think he was a very savory character. Would not liked to have known him, I think. So much for you great grandfather.
