I can't figure out if there was a bad merge or what happened, but this tree needs more attention. Gunnar is born c. 1190, his father Hjarande is born c. 1140 (and lived for 112 years?), while his grandfather was born c. 1010. My guess is that two sets of generation has been wrongly merged into eachother.
Yeah, that migth be the case, but its been a lot of bad merges in this area lately. The line from Hjarand Hvite to Harald Hårfagre is indeed dubious, but if we should keep this line on Geni we should atleast try to get the right number of generation.
If you select "resolve conflicting data" on this profile (Gunnar Hjarandson), you'll see that two of the profiles that are merged into this one have the birthyear 1090 instead of 1190.
Another possible bad merge is this one: https://www.geni.com/merge/view?revision_id=70154412270 Yes, it looks correct, but given the history of this spesific user (see this: https://www.geni.com/discussions/142313?msg=1138286) and the age of the profiles, I believe its a bad merge between the great grandfather and great grandson.
Sources are scarce on this line (because it's dubious), but this is what I found here: https://www.blix-dahle.no/tng/getperson.php?personID=I54156&tre...
Gunnar Hjarandson, born 1090
Hallvar Gunnarson Hvite, born 1120
Hjarande Hallvarson Hvite, born 1150
I believe this means that we miss tre generations in this line, the father Hallvar Gunnarson b. 1120 , the grandfather Gunnar Hjarandson b. 1090 and the great grandfather Hjarand Hallvarson (if the second great grandfather was Hallvard Gunnarson Hvit b. 1010).
I found Hallvar Gunnarsson Hvite b. 1120, listed as son of the Gunnar Hjarandsen b. 1190. Then we have to find the bad merge on Gunnar Hjarandsen.
