Hi all, in reference to the conflict of Roberts father being either( John or Robert Foote), according to the Foote Family Association the information in the book sited as a reference to Roberts father being Robert comes from a simple error when researching the book.. One of the references in that book was from an earlier work done in 1898. It was an accident that the name Robert was used, the will that was printed was actually John Sr.s will. It has been proven and accepted that JOHN is the father of Robert of Shalfor, John of London, Avis and Elizabeth, they are all mentioned in his will as well as his wife and her brother.
