Don't be confused by Geni's current interpretation: the two different yDNA results shown at August 2017 for Joost are not conflicting.
The result displayed depends on the Company tested with, and the depth of testing undertaken.
The base level test with FTDNA will give R-M269, and deeper testing will take you to R-L617, and some of the new test "packs" on offer may give an intermediate result.
Testing with 23andme now gives R-L51 (previously noted as R1b1b2a1a) which is a step beyond R-M269, but not as far down the haplotree as R-L617.
