Someone merged a John Holland into this profile. The Howlands were NEVER Hollands. Just more bogus info. Could someone delete this extra bogus John Holland? We already have the correct one as a MP but this is showing up as his brother. But also states he came over on the Mayflower and also married an Elizabeth Holland.

Somewhere on Ancestry.com folks started merging Howland into Holland and we all know that was wrong. Not sure how far this "Holland" line goes but it's all wrong.

Thanks

Henry Howland, of Fenstanton

Arthur, It appears you have fixed this. Thank you. Will Sayah

I’m locking relationships. Be aware that may make merging a little more difficult as they will “break off” for a one to one profile merge instead of bringing the whole family. But will prevent wrong families so ...

Thanks.

I have found the Howland name changes to Holland with Sir Thurston Holland Sr (1420-1482) FamilySearch.com LDS id#L6V4-FH6. Just thought this might help.

Julie, this is NOT true. This is just bad information copy and pasted on ancestry again and again. 100% BOGUS information. Ancestry is full of BAD information and that is one of the worst. FamilySearch just saves what others have made up. Howland name NEVER went to Holland. Howland is researched to it's fullest. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. But it's just not true.

Would you take a look at his parents?

John Howland of Newport at the Ponde, co. Essex

Parents are of Lancastershire, son of county Essex? I am suspicious, and think we should disconnect him from parents until evidence is presented.

I agree Erica Howton. Don't have any problem with you disconnecting. Thanks!
