Col. John Catlett, IV - Some idiot merged his tree with mine and screwed things up

There are two Col. John Catlett's. A father and a son. My 9th great grandparents are Col. John Catlett and Mary Lucas. Mary died in England. Col. John brought his son Nicholas, my 8th to Northern Neck Virginia in 1650. Colonel John remarried Elizabeth Underwood. One of their sons was John Catlett who also was a Colonel. That John is my half 9th great uncle. Colonel John the father of Nicholas and John died and Elizabeth Underwood Catlett remarried a man named Butler.

I looked at the revision history here and I don't see any merges for quite some time.
There was a bit of activity last year around sorting out the Taylors, and that involved Elizabeth Butler, but not (I believe) children of her with John Catlett, as far as I can tell. Erica Howton, though, is the expert on this area and she can give you a more definitive answer.

I think this is about integrating Mr Smith’s tree into the existing tree correctly; the two John Catlett’s certainly make it confusing. I’ll be looking at it more.
