Are you sure Nimrod was a son of Sarah Brewer & Ambrose?
Nimrod is listed as born in Georgia & is not mentioned as a child of Ambrose. There is also what looks like a Y DNA conflict on Ambrose’s profile.

She married Howell Nimrod Brewer
I can tag you on Advent...
So somehow added Mary's husband Howel Nimrod Brewer as well as HIS father Ambrose in her line and am working to correct it.
I descend from Sarah Lanier and George Brewer. I have high hopes of finding the correct Brewers: http://home.lighttube.net/~jhb79/Brewer_Researcher/Welcome.html
Most other trees that I can list the father of Howell Nimrod Brewer, IV as Howell, who married Mary Fields, not Ambrose.
Michael Koller It looks like you are working on this line also
Your Howell Nimrod Brewer, IV married Mary Louisa Brewer
And you have Howell Nimrod Brewer, III as his father, son of Howell Brewer, II
We would merge at Andrew Jackson "Jack" Brewer
Who has Y DNA showing as l 1D
So before we go there, it would be good to get Sources into profiles, and not introduce a DNA conflict.
I am also descended from George Brewer and Sarah Lanier, however they were in Brunswick Co, VA, my line moved to NC and finally ended up in Kentucky and some on into Missouri. None of my direct line headed south to Georgia. I agree with Erica, I think Nimrod's parents are Howell and Mary Fields. I'll dig into it and see what I can find.

This is what I have on Ancestry and am grateful for the professionals who KNOW
Not so sure your professionals that KNOW are necessarily correct. Just because they say it is so doesn't convince everyone. Documented proof is all that stands in the end. Keyword is "documented". Not saying they are wrong, just saying I don't take any "supposed" professional's word for it, we are all proven fallible on a regular basis.... This is also my lineage, and I'm not in this to find my Indian Princess like so many others, just want the TRUTH on here for historical reasons.
YOU "say" you can "fix it" and I am reassured and BELIEVE that you can...I am a professional myself and I HONOR my word lol. I am in this for the long haul and have been at it for decades. I am grateful for the HARD work and do NOT have any agenda other than FINDING my ancestors...not just adding "names" <3
ANd yet by the way...who is to say that one is NOT a princess? lol I have my Ancestry profile, etc, on public and am open to collaboration, etc. JUST the facts... between kin. Keep to what is VERIFIABLE and preferably FIRST hand. I have DELETED TOO many trees since first went online with Ancestry in about 1999 and NOW I SEEK DNA confirmation and triangulation for every match. Thank you, again.

I assume you belong to Ancestry so can you provide the documents the professionals spent all the time and work on to validate your lineage? If you can, it would make this much easier.
Think we have issues of different Ambrose Brewer's being mixed and confused. We have this Ambrose 1753 VA, 1855 TN line, complete with overview documentation.
Ambrose Brewer, Sr.
And here we have another Ambrose 1753 VA, 1855 TN, that you created, Howell Brewer, II
So yes, some work needs done to see who goes where, if they existed, who they married and when they were born/died. Yes a mess has been created but it can be fixed.
Cynthia
You shouldn’t put your email address on discussions, could pick up spam.
We are not professionals. Otherwise you’d be paying for services. You’ve subscribed to the platform, not the members.
Geni is a collaborative tree building platform, and its success & accuracy depends on the quality of each member contribution. And that takes Records and references to records, in each profile.
So to straighten out a complex line, please document profiles: see what I did for Howell Nimrod Brewer, IV
You need to supply evidence for the name Howell Nimrod Brewer because I don’t see it.
Sorry Cynthia if I seem cynical with my Indian princess remark. I apologize. It's just that we all have heard the stories from our family and few ever are truly "documented" as fact, mine never came to be. And I grew up sitting on the knee of my great grandmother Leona Brewer (Gross) hearing all of the stories of my "supposed" Indian heritage.
