As can be currently seen in the About of this Robert Campbell of Voluntown, there is some controversy regarding whether he had one or two wives, what their names were, and the parentage of the children.

Currently shown as wives are Margaret Campbell and Janet Campbell.

Robert's "About" describes the 2 wives (if there were) as one being after the death of the other, so the children would not have had "intermingled" birth dates, as is currently showing.

If we can get the wives and children 'sorted out', then a Curator can lock the relationships to keep them that way!

ROBERT CAMPBELL (bet. 1672 1673 – 1725) - IMMIGRANT

Between 1672 and 1673 ROBERT CAMPBELL was born in Campbelltown, Scotland or Co. Tyrone, Ulster Province – probably Northern Ireland. ROBERT’s father may have been Charles Campbell and mother is unknown.

1696 (before about): MARRIAGE OF ROBERT AND JANET STUART

Before about 1696 ROBERT (age 24) married Janet Stuart in Co. Tyrone, Northern Ireland – probably Ulster Province. ROBERT and Janet had at least six children:

  3. Sarah (b. about 1700)
  4. Mary (b. about 1702)

Janet Campbell of Ireland cannot have been the daughter of James Stewart & Janet Wilson of Scotland.
