Hello. This profile mixing up two Benoni Smith's.
Benoni Smith, of Glastonbury, born 1700 in Hadley, son of Samuel Smith, of Hartford who died in East Hartford is not the same as the Benoni Smith of Rhode Island.

The Benoni Smith who married Ruth Pendleton on 28 Dec 1726 in Rhode Island (per Rhode Island, Vital Extracts) seems to have had children in Westerly, Rhode Island and those children lived/married in Rhode Island from 1727 - 1749 - no connections to Hadley/Glastonbury/East Hartford.
